Photos from World Bipolar Day 2026
On Sunday 29 March, the Mental Health Foundation Australia and Bipolar Life proudly hosted a World Bipolar Day event in partnership with CORE-BD (Centre of Research Excellence in Bipolar Disorder) and the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health.
We extend our sincere thanks to CORE-BD and the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health for their continued support and collaboration. We were honoured to welcome members of CORE-BD, including the Patron of Bipolar Life, Prof Greg Murray, Prof Sue Cotton, A/Prof Aswin Ratheesh, and Dr Emma Morton, along with over 100 guests from across the community. A special thank you to our dedicated team behind the scenes, Amanda Cops, whose efforts made this event a great success, Jim Goodin, Vasan Srinivasan, Nithya Viswanathan, Jotpreet Kaur, Jim Katsieris, Kendall Fitzgerald, Alex Chen, Graeme Bryan, Eileen McDonald, Dianne Simboro, Brendan Cops, Damien Ryan, all the BPL committee members, volunteers and MHFA interns.
The event was an outstanding success, delivering a powerful and positive message of support, awareness, and understanding for individuals living with bipolar disorder and the broader community.
