Activity detail

Have you ever been interested in trying Virtual Reality (VR)?

The Centre for Mental Health at Swinburne University would like to invite you to participate in research looking at how VR can be used to deliver mindfulness practice.

Who can take part?

You may be eligible to participate if:

  • You are between the ages of 18 and 65
  • Have a clinical diagnosis of bipolar, depression, or anxiety
  • Can come into Swinburne University in Hawthorn, Melbourne for one testing session.

What happens if you take part in the research study?

If you decide to take part, you will be required to answer some questions about your diagnosis over the phone to assess your eligibility to participate. If you are eligible, you will come in to Swinburne University of Technology to try our VR mindfulness program on an Oculus Go headset and complete some questionnaires about your mental health and your VR experience. This will take about 1 hour and you will receive $30 for your time.

You might also like to provide your feedback in an interview. If you would like to participate in an interview about your experience in VR this will take an additional hour. You will receive an additional $20 for your time.
